About Irish Flag Football

In 2009 Belfast hosted the European Men's and Women's Seniors Flag Championships. This was the first time Ireland hosted an EFAF tournament and was the first time an Irish team entered an EFAF Flag tournament. ESF Belfast 2009

Due to the success of this event this website has been setup in conjunction with the IAFA, Ireland's American Football governing body, with the following aims -

• Increase the number of teams playing flag football across Ireland
• Increase the number of flag football competitions played
• Provide teams and the outside world with contact details for the current flag teams
• Raise the level at which flag football is played in Ireland
• Raise the profile of flag football within Ireland
